EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 19 Northwestern achieved its second shut-out of the day with a Sunday evening victory over IUPUI, 7-0. NU improves to 14-7 on the season and 10-2 at home.

The 'Cats snagged the doubles point to jump to an early 1-0 lead. Strong Kirchheimer and Fedor Baev swept David Beasley and Jose Calero 6-0 at No. 2, and Mihir Kumar and Alp Horoz followed after with a 6-3 triumph over Jac Newis and Thomas Gans at No. 3.

Logan Staggs quickly captured the Wildcats' second point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over David Beasley at No. 4 singles. No. 92 Shropshire secured the third at No. 1, defeating Newis 6-2, 6-1 for his third straight win of the weekend.

Baev and Horoz finished within seconds of each other on courts 5 and 6 respectively. Baev toppled Calero 6-4, 6-1, and Horoz bested Marcus Nalley 6-0, 6-1 right after.

Play finished out at No. 2 and 3. At No. 2, Kirchheimer notched his 15th victory of the spring with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Adam Reinhart. Konrad Zieba concluded the evening at No. 3, topping Alex Toliver 6-1, 6-3. The win marks his third consecutive singles victory.

Northwestern hits the road next weekend for two Big Ten match-ups in the Great Lakes State. NU faces Michigan State on Friday, Apr. 3 at noon, and Michigan on Saturday, Apr. 4, also at noon.
