The Wildcats open their fall invitational season Sept. 27 as the ITA All-American Championships get underway in Tulsa, Okla. Sam Shropshire, the 2014 Big Ten Freshman of the Year who is No. 78 in the ITA Preseason Singles Rankings, earned a spot in the qualifying singles draw. Also competing for NU in the prequalifying single draw will be Fedor Baev, Alp Horoz, Strong Kirchheimer, Mihir Kumar, Logan Staggs and Konrad Zieba. Northwestern's fall season also include its participation at the ITA Midwest Regional in Ann Arbor, Mich., Oct. 16-20 as well as the Big Ten Indoor Championships Oct. 31-Nov. 2 in Minneapolis, Minn. The ITA National Indoor Championships are slated for Nov. 6-9 in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.

The Wildcats take two months off from competition before opening up their dual match season on the road at NC State Jan. 16 and at Vanderbilt two days later. ITA Kickoff Weekend sees NU traveling to Norman, Okla., for the second straight year. Northwestern faces Arkansas Jan. 24. A win against the Razorbacks and either Oklahoma or New Mexico the next day would allow the 'Cats to advance to the ITA Team Indoor Championship.

A match at Notre Dame Jan. 30 precedes the first of five home doubleheader dates for Northwestern on Feb. 1. The 'Cats host Duke in a matinee prior to taking on UIC later that evening. NU remains at home the following weekend as it hosts Boise State Feb. 6 and then Harvard and Valparaiso on Feb. 8.

The Big Ten slate gets underway Feb. 20 when Northwestern travels to Illinois prior to a nonconference matchup at Cornell on the 22nd.

Following a home match with Middle Tennessee State Feb. 27, the Wildcats return to conference play March 6 at Indiana. The league home-opener is set for March 8 when Purdue comes to Evanston prior to a match with Western Illinois later that evening.

A home match with Columbia (March 14) precedes a trip to Rice (March 25). Ohio State, Penn State and IUPUI head to the North Shore that weekend before NU travels to Michigan State and Michigan April 3 and 4, respectively.

The final home weekend is set for April 10 and 12 as Northwestern squares off with Nebraska on Friday before challenging Iowa and Detroit on Sunday. The regular season winds to a close when the Wildcats head to Wisconsin April 17 and Minnesota April 19.

The 2014 Big Ten Men's Tennis Tournament is scheduled for April 23-26 in Urbana, Ill.

Northwestern is coming off a 21-11 dual match record in 2014, the team's second consecutive 20-win season and a third consecutive NCAA tournament berth.
