Robbie Byrd has been a member of the Northwestern University Sports Medicine Department since 2004. He is responsible for managing the health care of the Northwestern Wrestling team. Robbie is also responsible for Emergency Action Plans and AED certification and management.
Robbie is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University where he earned a degree in Athletic Training. As a graduate assistant at Michigan State University, Robbie worked with the football and wrestling teams.
Robbie has had the opportunity to annually host and act as the Medical Coordinator for the Midlands Invitational Wrestling Tournament - currently one of the elite and largest Division I wrestling tournaments in the country.
Robbie resides in Skokie with his wife, Laura, and their daughter.
