Ray Banfield joined Northwestern Athletics in November 2018 as a group account executive, working primarily in men’s basketball and football group tickets.
Prior to joining the Wildcats, Banfield worked as a systems analyst for Adams Plastics. He worked part-time and volunteered in various capacities in Athletics Marketing before joining the Wildcats fulltime. His experience in sports and entertainment also include stops with the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Bears, Chicago Sports Commission, USA Hockey, and Ravinia Music festival. He also volunteers for the Winnetka Public School Foundation and Boy Scouts.
A native of Rochester, Minnesota, Banfield is a graduate of St. John’s University and Northwestern University’s master of sports administration program.
Banfield, his wife, Jill, and son, Neil, live in Winnetka with their PAWS Chicago rescue, Pablo.
