Miranda Dangerfield joined Northwestern Athletics in July 2021 as a Program Assistant and was most recently promoted to Coordinator for Special Events and Operations. Her primary responsibilities include managing operations from the main lobby of the Walter Athletics Center. Dangerfield started her Northwestern journey in 2019 as a summer program assistant for the Center for Talent Development (CTD).
Dangerfield graduated from Illinois State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Recreational Management & Administration. While at ISU, Dangerfield competed on the women’s track and field team, where she ran as a sprinter in the 100m and 200m. She also served as men’s basketball manager, having earned the distinction of being the first female student head manager for ISU’s men’s basketball team. Dangerfield also worked as a Nike intern where she assisted and helped implement an all-girls basketball competition at the McCormick Center. She ran social media and had an opportunity to work with Kevin Durant.
Dangerfield is from Evanston and is a proud graduate of Evanston Township High School. She is currently in the process of completing her master’s degree in Sports Administration at Northwestern University.
