Mark Malcolm joined Northwestern Athletics in July of 2018, as an Assistant Equipment Manager. His duties include managing day-to-day operations of the equipment room, including budgeting, selection of shoes and apparel, and maintaining an inventory of equipment. He works directly with men’s soccer, women’s fencing, men’s and women’s tennis, as well as cross country.
Prior to joining Northwestern, Malcolm was named the Assistant Equipment Manager in July 2015 after serving as the Equipment Manager Intern for the BGSU Athletics Department for two years in 2013 & 2014. Malcolm was in charge of the equipment room located in the Stroh Center and worked directly with the men’s basketball, women’s basketball and volleyball programs at BGSU. He also assisted with game day equipment for the football team. Malcolm graduated in May 2014 from Central Michigan University, with a bachelor’s degree in sport management and a minor in business administration.?While at Central Michigan, Malcolm worked with the Chippewas football team as a student equipment manager. He is also a Certified Equipment Manager through the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
Malcolm is a native of St. Clair, Michigan and currently resides in Evanston.
