Kyle Kelley joined Northwestern in December 2014 and was named Associate Director of Athletic Communications in September of 2017. He is currently the media relations contact for the football, cross country and women's golf programs.
He has previously worked with the Wildcats' lacrosse and women's swimming and diving programs.
Prior to his arrival in Evanston, Kelley worked in the athletic communications office at his alma mater Central Michigan from 2011-14. At CMU, he was the primary contact for eight of the 16 varsity sports, including women's basketball, wresting, volleyball, women's soccer, field hockey, softball, baseball and gymnastics. He also served as the department's social media manager, implementing a comprehensive social media strategy and introducing social media ticket sales and promotions.
A native of Marion, Mich., Kelley was a guest speaker on gameday engagement/promotions at PacNet '13 and social media engagement/sales at the Intix Conference in Chicago in 2014. He also previously worked as a social media coordinator for Silver Chalice Ventures in Chicago where he assisted with implementing and executing a social media strategy for Campus Insiders and the ACC Digital Network.
Kelley earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from CMU in 2011, where he was a founding father of the Sigma-Eta Chapter of Kappa Sigma.
