Kevin Fischer joined Northwestern Athletics in October of 2018 as an Assistant Equipment Manager. His duties include managing day-to-day operations of the equipment room, including budgeting, selection of shoes and apparel, and maintaining an inventory of equipment. He works directly with baseball, wrestling, and spirit squads.
Prior to joining Northwestern, Fischer was named Equipment Manager in May 2015 at the University of Detroit Mercy after serving as an Operations GA the previous year. As Equipment Manager, Fischer directed the purchasing, distribution, and inventory for all 16 Division-I varsity sports. He also assisted with game day operations and Gift Shop purchasing and sales. Previously, Fischer worked two seasons as the Clubhouse Manager for Toronto Blue Jays affiliate, the Lansing Lugnuts.
Fischer is a native of Ottawa Lake, Michigan and graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in communication.
