John Lovellette joined Northwestern Athletics in October 2014 as assistant equipment manager. His duties include managing day-to-day operations of the equipment room, including budgeting, selection of shoes and apparel and maintaining an inventory of equipment. He works directly with men’s basketball, women’s basketball and men’s golf.
Lovellette started as a student worker in the equipment room at Westfield State University in Massachusetts, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Prior to Northwestern, he spent 15 months as an intern in equipment at the University of Connecticut where he was part of the Huskies men's and women's basketball programs that both captured the national championships in 2014. He is a proud certified athletic equipment manager and a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
Lovellette, a native of Pittsfield, Mass., resides in Evanston.
