Cristina Nistler has been a member of the Northwestern University Sports Medicine Department since August of 2016. She is responsible for managing the health care of the women’s cross country and track team and oversees care for the spirit squad. Cristina is also shares the responsibility of managing the sports medicine portion of NUSports.com. She worked as a Certified Intern Athletic Trainer at Northwestern University during the 2009-10 academic year with the football and baseball teams.
Cristina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Minnesota – Morris and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Saint Cloud State University. She also has a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science from Saint Cloud State University.
Cristina has had the opportunity to work at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and she served as an assistant athletic trainer for the USA Women’s Lacrosse Under-19 team.
Cristina is interested in injury prevention and running medicine. She holds the NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist certification as well as Sound Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization(SASTM).
Cristina resides in Chicago.
