Chris Rhyce joined Northwestern Athletics as Assistant Director of Ticket Operations in August 2017. He oversees ticketing for field hockey, wrestling, and lacrosse and assists in ticket operations for football and men's basketball.
Prior to arriving at Northwestern, Rhyce spent a year working at the University of Notre Dame as a ticket services coordinator where he oversaw ticket operations for men's soccer, baseball, game-day operations, event reconciliation, and several postseason ticket operations such as the 2017 USA Baseball-Irish Classic in Cary, North Carolina, 2017 men's NCAA basketball tournament, 2017 women's NCAA basketball tournament, and the 2017 Frozen Four.
From 2013-2016, Rhyce worked in ticket operations for the Chicago Cubs, handling single-game ticket sales, Wrigley Field tour sales, parking, ticket fulfillment, ticket services, and general customer service. He also assisted the media relations staff in editing the 2014 and 2015 Chicago Cubs media guides and represented the organization at several annual community and charity events.
Prior to making the move to Chicago, Rhyce served as the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas, where he managed ticket processes and supervised staff for all ticketed sports. Rhyce also assisted in Paciolan software system maintenance and utilization and implementation of season-long and game day promotional strategies for all revenue-generated Red Raider sports.
From 2011-12, Rhyce served as an athletic ticket office and event marketing intern at Notre Dame. Prior to his internship at Notre Dame, Rhyce spent two and a half years at Florida State University as an athletic ticket office sales and service representative, where he initiated and executed group sales, marketing, and promotional strategies for FSU athletics. He also assisted in operations of all ticket sales including sales windows, mail and phone orders, and on-site sales and oversaw ticket operations for several NCAA postseason events hosted by FSU, including three NCAA women's soccer tournaments (2008-2010), three NCAA baseball tournaments (2008-2010), one NCAA women's basketball tournament (2010), and one NCAA softball tournament (2009).
Rhyce's additional experience includes a 2008 seasonal inside sales role with the Tampa Bay Rays, two Spring Training stints with the New York Yankees (2003, 2006) in Tampa, where he worked in baseball operations, a ticket operations internship with the University of Central Florida, and an athletics marketing internship with Florida State.
Rhyce , a native of Miami, Florida, received his bachelor of science degree in Sport Management from Florida State University. He resides in Chicago.
