Brett Sible joined Northwestern Athletics in March 2022 as Assistant Director of Compliance. In this role, Sible assists in providing NCAA and Big Ten rules education and interpretations for coaches, student-athletes, administrators, University staff, and other representatives of athletics interest. Other responsibilities include monitoring the department’s recruiting and promotional activities, camps and clinics, and processing waiver requests.
Sible’s experience includes stints as a compliance intern at both the University of Michigan and his alma mater, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Outside of his work in college athletics, Sible has spent time as a law clerk for two Chicago-based law firms, as a judicial intern with the Circuit Court of Cook County, and as a legislative intern in both the US House of Representative and the Illinois State Senate.
Sible earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in 2018 and a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2021.
