Dr. Amin Farokhrani has been a member of the Northwestern University Sports Medicine Department since 2018. He serves as primary team physician for men’s soccer, field hockey, men’s basketball, lacrosse and the cheer/spirit squad.
Dr. Farokhrani graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He continued on to complete a Master’s of engineering with special focus in Biomechanics. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and stayed in Metro Detroit to complete his residency training in family medicine where he was named chief resident. Dr. Farokhrani then moved to Ohio to complete his sports medicine fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic where he had experiences at the high school, Division I, II, III collegiate, NBA and MLB levels. Dr. Farokhrani is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine.
