Big Ten Releases 2026-27 Wrestling Opponent Rotation

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern wrestling received its 2026-27 Big Ten opponent rotation on Thursday. Head coach Matt Storniolo's squad will face an eight-match conference schedule, including four contests at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
 
In Evanston, 2026 Big Ten Runner-Up Ohio State headlines the Wildcats' home schedule. Northwestern will also welcome in Michigan State, Indiana and Purdue during Big Ten action.

In the road portion of their schedule, the 'Cats will head downstate to face off with rival Illinois in Champaign. They are also set to visit Iowa City to take on the Hawkeyes, who are fresh off a top-four finish at the 2026 NCAA Championships. The road slate is rounded out by Maryland and Rutgers.

Storniolo is set to welcome back a pair of previous NCAA qualifiers for 2026-27 in Billy Dekraker and Sam Cartella, alongside a robust class of first-years.

Non-conference match-ups, along with dates and times for all matches, will be released at a later date.
