CHICAGO (February 21, 2026) – Kailey Zagst and Olivia Capala came away with individual wins as Northwestern track wrapped up the regular season portion of its indoor schedule this afternoon at the Margaret Bradley Invitational in Chicago, Ill.

Competing in the mile run, Zagst led the charge for 'Cats at the University of Chicago's Henry Crown Fieldhouse in Hyde Park.  The Canton, Ohio native paced a trio of top-four finishers for Northwestern, claiming first overall with a time of 5:00.16 that marked a two-second personal best.
 
The first-year pairing of Marley McCullough (5:03.83) and Jaya Simmons (5:05.62) checked in close behind Zagst, placing third and fourth, respectively.
 

Out of Denville, N.J., Capala impressed in her 400m dash debut, cruising to victory with a time of 57.14.
 
Mallory Grubb closed out the day with the top 3,000m run performance of her career, shaving just over two seconds off her previous personal best to earn a runner-up finish in 10:04.21.  Katherine Klimek (4th; 10:15.64) joined Grubb in posting a new personal best as she and Samree Dishon (5th; 10:44.59) landed in the top five.
 
Northwestern will now set its sights on the Big Ten Conference Indoor Championships, February 26-28, in Indianapolis, Ind.
