EVANSTON, Ill. (December 10, 2024) – After recently completing his career with the Northwestern University men's soccer program, Collin McCamy (Wake Forest, N.C./Crossroads Flex) has been named as one of 44 student-athletes to receive an invitation to the 2024 adidas Major League Soccer (MLS) College Showcase, December 11-14, in San Diego, Calif.
A Second Team All-Big Ten Conference selection this past season, McCamy was again a fixture in head coach Russell Payne's lineup, starting in all 17 games for the second time in as many years. The 6-foot-2 midfielder found the back of the net in the Wildcats' thrilling 2-1 win over Drake on August 30, while also dishing out assists in matchups with Marquette (Sept. 9) and Maryland (Sept. 27).
McCamy enjoyed a decorated career during his time at Northwestern, earning a trio of All-Big Ten nods. After bringing home Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors in 2021, McCamy put together an outstanding junior campaign, closing the 2023 season with two goals and four assists en route to securing First Team All-Big Ten distinction.
The 2024 adidas MLS College Showcase marks the fifth edition of the closed-door event. Over the course of five days, technical staffs from every MLS club have the opportunity to scout the nation's top eligible prospects, including players with remaining NCAA eligibility.
