ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Northwestern collected its fifth clean sheet of the season en route to a comfortable 3-0 victory over Michigan at U-M Soccer Stadium in Ann Arbor on Thursday night.

Northwestern improved to 6-8-3 overall and 1-6-2 in Big Ten play after the win.

How it Happened
Northwestern took a 1-0 lead when Emma Phillips scored her third goal of the season in the 21st minute, assisted by Kennedy Roesch.

The Wildcats doubled their lead early in the second half on a goal from Alex Fallon – her first collegiate goal – in the 52nd minute, assisted by Caterina Regazzoni.

Northwestern built its lead to 3-0 on Roesch's 66th-minute goal, her sixth of the season. Kelsey Kwon assisted the goal. The 3-0 score held to the finish.
