EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 23 USC used a second half penalty kick to grab a 2-1 win over Northwestern on Senior Day at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.
The loss dropped Northwestern's record to 5-8-3 overall and 0-6-2 in Big Ten play.
How it Happened
USC broke the scoreless tie when Maria Alagoa scored in the 14th minute, assisted by Simone Jackson.
The Wildcats evened the match on a goal from Emma Phillips -- her second goal of the season -- in the 53rd minute, assisted by Caterina Regazzoni.
