NORMAL, Ill. – Northwestern collected another clean sheet victory, its third in its last four games, in a 4-0 romp over Illinois State on Thursday night at Adelaide Street Field in Normal.

The Wildcats improved to 4-2 on the season with the win. The 'Cats outshot ISU 14-5, including an 8-2 advantage in shots on goal and an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.

How it Happened
NU opened the scoring in the 14th minute, with Kennedy Roesch finding the back of the net off a deflection to put the 'Cats up 1-0. The goal marked the third of the year for the first-year, most of any Wildcat.

The Wildcats doubled the lead in the 36th minute when Hayley Newman's cross deflected off a Redbird defender into the back of the net.

The Wildcats extended the lead to three in the 63rd minute on Megan Norkett's second goal of the 2024 campaign.

Josie Aulicino capped off the scoring with an exclamation point in the 78th minute, finding the corner of the net on a free kick to beat the Redbird keeper.
