Freeman earns the All-Freshman team honors after a standout rookie campaign, mashing a team-high 11 home runs, tied for third-most by any freshman in the conference. Eight of Freeman's long balls came in conference play, the third-most by any Big Ten player and tied for the most by any freshman. The Ladera Ranch, California native's 11 home runs are the most by a Wildcat since at least 1980.

In the field, Freeman made several highlight reel plays, earning SportsCenter Top 10 recognition for his catch against Eastern Illinois.
