No. 64 Men's Tennis Takes to the Road to Face Wisconsin, No. 61 Nebraska

MADISON, Wis. - No. 64 Northwestern men's tennis will hit the road this weekend for a pair of dual matches, taking on Wisconsin at 4 p.m. CT on Friday and No. 61 Nebraska at noon CT on Sunday.

The 'Cats are coming off of a doubleheader split last Sunday, winning 4-0 against Chicago State after falling to No. 18 Michigan State 5-2 earlier in the day.

The Wildcats got off to a strong start versus the Spartans, grabbing the first point of the match in doubles. Felix Nordby picked up the lone singles point for Northwestern before the team fell to the Spartans, 5-2. Notably, Presley Thieneman took No. 11 ranked Ozan Baris to a third set, but just lost out during the super tiebreak.

Wisconsin (1-15, 0-3 B1G) enters the match on a seven-game losing streak, most recently to Nebraska. The Badgers picked up their lone victory of the season over Butler on February 23, a 5-2 win.

In Nebraska, the 'Cats will face a 12-7 Huskers squad that has gone 1-2 in Big Ten play so far. Nebraska is currently on a two-game win streak, having defeated Illinois State over the weekend. The Huskers will try to continue that streak versus Illinois on Friday before hosting Northwestern on Sunday.

After this weekend's action, the 'Cats will continue their road stretch with a trip to Champaign next weekend, where they'll face the Illini on April 13 at noon CT.
