'Cats Dive into the New Year: Set to take on the University of Chicago

EVANSTON, Ill. – The 'Cats are back after the new year to compete against the University of Chicago on Saturday at the Ratner Athletic Center at 11:00 a.m. CT.

Northwestern is squaring off with UChicago for the first time since 2018, when the Wildcat Men defeated the Maroons 158.5-110.5 and the Wildcat Women took down UChicago 188-100.

The Wildcats ended last year with the 2023 US Open Championships in Greensboro, where seven swimmers represented Northwestern. Notable performances included David Gerchik's first place finishes in the Men's 100-meter Backstroke C-Final (55.74) and in the Men's 200-meter Backstroke C-Final (2:00.73), as well as Connor Morikawa's 3rd place finish in the Men's 200-meter Breaststroke C-Final (2:15.52).

After their showdown on Saturday, the 'Cats will return to Evanston on January 20th to host the Wisconsin Badgers in a dual meet.
