EVANSTON, Ill. (November 1, 2023) – After posting his second top-10 finish of the fall season earlier in the week, Northwestern junior Cameron Adam (Edinburgh, Scotland/Merchiston Castle School) has been selected as the Big Ten Conference Men's Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday. This marks the first weekly league honor of Adam's career.
Adam helped lead the 'Cats to a runner-up finish in their fall season finale at the Cal Poly Invitational in Carmel, Calif. He closed play at The Preserve Golf Club with a seven-under-par 209 (71-70-68) that saw him finish as part of a tie for sixth place, alongside Daniel Svärd. Adam posted his top 18-hole effort during Tuesday's final round, handing in a four-under-par 68 that included eight birdies.
Out of Edinburgh, Scotland, Adam holds a 70.6 stroke average across 15 rounds of play, a ledger that includes 10 rounds at par or better.
Northwestern will be back in action after the turn of the calendar year when it visits Tampa, Fla. for a dual match against South Florida on Saturday, January 27.
