PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Northwestern fell 2-1 in its regular season finale at Rutgers on Sunday at Yurcak Field.

The Wildcats fell to 9-5-4 overall and 3-5-2 in Big Ten action following the defeat.

How it Happened

Rutgers opened the scoring when Sara Brocious scored in the 33rd minute, assisted by Ashley Baran and Allison Lowrey.

The Wildcats equalized on a goal from Josie Aulicino -- her sixth goal of the season -- in the 57th minute, assisted by Ella Hase.

Rutgers went up 2-1 on Baran's 77th-minute goal, assisted by Sam Kroeger and Brocious. The 2-1 score held to the finish.
