EVANSTON, Ill. – Meg Boade notched her 13th and 14th assists of the season as Northwestern downed Minnesota 3-0 on a rainy Thursday night at Martin Stadium.

The win pushed Northwestern to 9-4-4 overall and 3-4-2 in Big Ten play, heading into a decision-day showdown with Rutgers.

How it Happened

Northwestern opened the scoring in the 12th minute when a Meg Boade corner kick fell to Caterina Regazzoni, who coolly slotted it home for her third goal of the season.

With the clock ticking down in the first half, the Wildcats doubled their lead when Emma Phillips found the end of a Meg Boade free kick and headed it home with three seconds remaining in the half.

In the 89th minute, Josie Aulicino stepped to a cleared Minnesota corner kick with space to run, speeding past Golden Gophers and chipping the Minnesota keeper to put the game on ice.
