EVANSTON, Ill. – Senior forward Ella Hase has been named as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and selected to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week.
Three days later against No. 4 Penn State, Hase stepped up to the penalty spot for her first career penalty kick, slotting it past the Nittany Lion keeper to level the game at one apiece. Less than ten minutes later, Hase scored her second goal of the game, recording both of Northwestern's goals in a 2-2 draw against #4 Penn State on October 15.
Three goals in the past week brings Hase to a total of 10 goals in her senior season, third-most in the Big Ten and more than double her junior year total.
Hase and the 'Cats will return to Martin Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m. CT to take on Minnesota on B1G+.
In the 63rd minute at Iowa, Hase tallied Northwestern's second goal, her fourth game-winner of the season, leading the 'Cats to a 2-1 victory.B1G Week for Ella Hase!
