COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Behind goals from Collin McCamy and Christopher Thaggard and seven saves from Jackson Weyman, Northwestern earned a 2-0 road win over Maryland on Friday night at Ludwig Field.

Northwestern improved to 8-0-2 overall and 2-0-1 in Big Ten play. The Wildcats are 8-0-2 for the first time since 2008 and unbeaten through three league games for the first time since 2012.

How it Happened

After back-and-forth action for the majority of the first half, Jason Gajadhar found Collin McCamy in space, who fired a laser into the top right corner of the goal for the breakthrough in the 43rd minute. Northwestern held the 1-0 edge into the break.

In the 53rd minute, Collin McCamy pounced on an errant Maryland clearance to find Jason Gajadhar, who played a ball to Christopher Thaggard. Thaggard placed a ball in the bottom corner of the Terrapin goal to double the Northwestern lead.
