EVANSTON, Ill. - Maja Zivojnovic collected a hat trick and a defensive save in the first multi-goal game of her career on Sunday as No. 3 Northwestern took down Princeton 4-0 on Sunday at Lakeside Field.

The win extended the Wildcats' win streak to nine in a row - a streak spanning nearly a month.

Zivojnovic, a sophomore, collected a goal on a penalty corner in each of the first two quarters on Sunday. Meanwhile, she helped the Northwestern defense maintain a clean slate on the other end. The 'Cats limited the Tigers to just one shot in the first quarter and entered the half up 2-0.

After the break, Zivojnovic picked up where she left off, scoring her third goal of the game and her seventh of the season on another penalty corner to make it a 3-0 lead. In the fourth quarter, she added another stat to the sheet, picking up the first defensive save of her collegiate career.

Before the end of the game, Peyton Halsey added one final goal on an assist from Lauren Wadas to lock in the final score of 4-0 in favor of Northwestern. The win moved them to 9-1 on the season.

Northwestern will resume Big Ten action next weekend as they host a pair of conference opponents at Lakeside Field. Michigan State will visit on Friday for a game scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. CT, then Michigan will take on the 'Cats on Sunday at 11 a.m. CT.
