EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 13 Northwestern stormed back from a 1-0 deficit to knock off Ohio State 4-2 on Sunday at Martin Stadium.

The victory improved Northwestern's record to 7-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in Big Ten play, giving Northwestern its first unbeaten start through nine games since 2008.

How it Happened

Ohio State notched the game's first goal when Michael Adedokun scored in the 24th minute, assisted by Max Trejo.

The Wildcats equalized on a goal from Jason Gajadhar -- his first goal of the season -- in the 26th minute, assisted by Justin Weiss and Ugo Achara Jr.

Northwestern took a 2-1 lead on Bryant Mayer's 33rd-minute header off of a Colllin McCamy corner kick, Mayer's second goal of the season.

The Wildcats extended the lead with a 48th-minute goal from Brandon Clagette, his first goal of the season. Weiss and Christopher Thaggard recorded assists on the goal.

Ohio State made it a 3-2 game on Laurence Wootton's penalty kick goal in the 67th minute.

Fritz Volmar iced the game with his first collegiate goal in the 73rd minute, with an assist from Paul Son.
