No. 13 'Cats Remain Unbeaten with 2-2 Draw at Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. – Northwestern and Wisconsin played to a 2-2 draw at McClimon Soccer Complex in Madison, Wisconsin.

The draw moved Northwestern's record to 6-0-2 overall and 0-0-1 in Big Ten action. The Wildcats are unbeaten through eight games for the first time since 2007.

How it Happened

Northwestern took a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute when Justin Weiss stepped to an errant Badger pass and made a deep run through Wisconsin's midfield, finding Ugo Achara Jr. Achara Jr. fought through contact to fire a right-footed shot into the bottom-left corner of the goal. The goal marked the second of the season for Achara Jr.

The Wildcats doubled their lead in the 71st minute when Fritz Volmar's cross deflected off a Badger defender and fell to Ibrahim Obeid, who made no mistake for his first goal of the season.

Wisconsin scored in the 75th minute and again in the 87th minute to equalize.
