EVANSTON, Ill. - No. 3 Northwestern extended their winning streak to seven games on Sunday as they completed a weekend sweep with 3-1 a victory over Penn at Lakeside Field.

After shutting out opponents for four straight games, the 'Cats defense was once again up to the task on Sunday, keeping the Quakers off the board for the first three quarters. Penn finally broke the shutout with ten minutes left in the game, connecting on the first goal against Northwestern in more than two weeks. The 'Cats' streak of 18 straight scoreless quarters is the longest by a Northwestern defense since at least 1993.

On the other side of the field, Northwestern got their three goals from a pair of players - Maja Zivojnovic and Lane Herbert. Zivojnovic, a sophomore, converted on a penalty corner in the second quarter for her fourth goal of the season and her second of the weekend. Her nine points this season are tied with Olivia Bent-Cole for second on the team behind Peyton Halsey.

Have a weekend, Lane! She's got three goals in the last three days ??
