EVANSTON, Ill.  – Rom Brown bagged his first career brace, including a 90th minute game-winner to propel Northwestern past Northern Illinois at Martin Stadium on Friday night.

The win boosted Northwestern's record to 4-0-1 overall, its first 4-0-1 start since 2008.

How it Happened

Northwestern broke through in the 13th minute when Collin McCamy delivered a corner kick that Rom Brown skied to head home for the first goal of the game.

The Huskies responded to tie it on a goal from Camilo Estrada in the 17th minute, assisted by Taisei Arima. The 1-1 deadlock held into halftime, and for the first 44 minutes and 46 seconds of the second half.

With just 14 seconds remaining in the match, Ibrahim Obeid crossed in a ball that fell to Rom Brown, who delivered the game-winning goal just seconds before the final whistle.
