The senior goalkeeper received the honor after shutting out No. 17 Boston College in overtime on Friday and limiting No. 20 Duke to just two first-quarter goals on Sunday, collecting 11 saves between the two games. Her performance helped the 'Cats to a weekend sweep in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.

Friday's shutout was the eleventh of Skubisz' Northwestern career and the third in overtime. She collected five saves to keep the game knotted at zero until the 'Cats netted the game-winner.

Sunday saw six more saves for Skubisz. After Duke scored twice early, the goalkeeper kept them out of the net for the final 50 minutes of play to facilitate a 3-2 'Cats victory over Duke. Following this weekend's performance, Skubisz' 0.96 goals against average ranks tenth in the nation and third in the Big Ten

This week's honor is Skubisz' third as a Wildcat and her first since September 6, 2022, when she was awarded after last season's Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Her first Player of the Week honors came on November 1, 2021.
