COLLEGE PARK, Md. - No. 2 Northwestern completed the weekend sweep on Sunday with a 3-2 victory over No. 20 Duke at the B1G/ACC Challenge in College Park.

The Blue Devils claimed the first lead of the game midway through the first quarter, scoring goals in both the seventh and ninth minutes. Just before the end of the first, first year Olivia Bent-Cole got one back for Northwestern, however. Her first score as a Wildcat cut Duke's advantage to 2-1 after the first 15.

Alia Marshall evened the score at two in the second quarter with a goal scored off the rebound of a penalty corner. Both defenses prevailed for the remainder of the first half, and the teams entered the break tied at two apiece.

That score held through the third quarter and into the fourth. Northwestern's defense held out through a string of Duke penalty corners, keeping the Blue Devils off the board and securing their second win of the weekend.

The 2-1 'Cats will continue their road trip on Tuesday, when they face off with Vermont at 3:00 pm CT.
