EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern goalkeeper Molly Laliberty has been named CSC Division I Second Team Academic All-American, College Sports Communicators announced.
Laliberty is the third Wildcat to earn Academic All-American honors, and first since Hillary Bowen did so in 2009.
In the NCAA Tournament, Laliberty allowed just 6.00 goals per game while posting a .510 save percentage in four games en route to the eighth national title in program history.
The Newburyport, Mass. native started all 22 games in the cage for the Wildcats, posting an 8.60 goals against average, ranking first in the Big Ten and eighth nationally. Laliberty was named Second Team All-Big Ten, posting a 7.64 goals against average in conference play.
A graduate transfer from Tufts, Laliberty posted a 4.0 GPA while pursuing a Business Essentials certificate.
