EVANSTON, Ill. -- The Northwestern Wildcats struggled on Sunday, falling 5-1 to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights at Miller Park.
Junior Luke Benneche (0-5) got the ball to start for Northwestern (6-28, 3-9 B1G) and took the loss. Junior David Utagawa was a bright spot for the Wildcats, coming out of the bullpen and throwing two hitless, scoreless innings.
Offensively, the Wildcats were paced by Calarco, who went 1-for-3 on the day with a double and a walk.

Rutgers scored the first five runs of the ballgame, beginning with a balk in the first inning. The Wildcats were unable to get any closer, and Rutgers completed the weekend sweep.
