EVANSTON, Ill. – Following an impressive win over No. 1 North Carolina, Northwestern's Izzy Scane and Madison Taylor earned weekly award recognition from the Big Ten Conference and the IWLCA.
Scane was named co-Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week and co-IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week. She scored 11 goals in the conference opening win over No. 17 Michigan and contributed four goals and an assist against the Tar Heels. Northwestern defeated the nation's No. 1 ranked team for the first time since 2019 and handed the Tar Heels their first regular season loss since 2019.
The No. 2 ranked Wildcats continue Big Ten play at Noon CT on Thursday, March 23 at Johns Hopkins and return home at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 26 against Stanford.
