Wildcat Women Head to Big Ten Championships

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 20 Northwestern women's swimming and diving travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan this week to compete at the Big Ten Championships. The meet held in the Canham Natatorium on the University of Michigan campus runs from Wednesday through Saturday, with preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m. Meet information for the four-day competition can be found here.
 
The Wildcat women (9-1, 6-1 B1G) go into the championship on a seven-meet winning streak, including victories over ranked opponents in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
 
In their last meet, the Northwestern women set seven pool records in a scintillating display to defeat conference rivals Iowa, Purdue and Minnesota.
 
Lindsay Ervin, Ashley Strouse, Hannah Brunzell and Miriam Guevara all had double individual wins during the two-day competition and will be aiming to help the Wildcat women improve on last year's performance, where the team finished fifth with 919.5 points.
