No. 6 Northwestern Rolls At Tufts Invitational

MEDFORD, Mass. (January 19, 2023) – No. 6 Northwestern fencing picked up three dominant wins at the Tufts Invitational last Sunday in Medford, Mass.
 
In the Wildcats' opening matchup with LIU, the sabre, foil, and epee squads all posted 7-2 victories, propelling Northwestern to a 21-6 triumph.
 
The sabre group shined in a clash with Wellesley, prevailing by an 8-1 margin to contribute to a 17-10 win that was also aided by a 6-3 showing from the epee squad.
 
To wrap up the event, Northwestern coasted to a 19-8 over Tufts, the event host, as it posted wins across all three weapons, highlighted by another 8-1 showing by the sabres.
