'Cats Dance on to Second Round with 3-0 Win Over SIUE

EVANSTON, Ill. –– Northwestern cruised to a 3-0 shutout victory Saturday at home at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium.

Northwestern moves onto the second round, where they will take on Vanderbilt on Friday, November 18 at 6 p.m. CT at Wallis Annenberg Stadium, hosted by UCLA. 

How it Happened

The 'Cats peppered SIUE for the first half hour, collecting the first five shots, but were unable to find a breakthrough.

Northwestern broke the deadlock when Meg Boade recorded her seventh goal of the season in the 38th minute, assisted by Ella Hase and Caterina Regazzoni.

The Wildcats went up 2-0 on a goal from Josie Aulicino -- her eighth goal of the season -- in the 44th minute.

Northwestern extended the lead to 3-0 on Ingrid Falls' 76th-minute goal, her second of the season. Aulicino assisted the goal.
