Northwestern Punches Postseason Ticket With 2-1 Win Over MSU

EAST LANSING, Mich. –– Northwestern fought back from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Michigan St. 2-1 Sunday (Oct. 30) on the road at DeMartin Stadium.

The win boosted Northwestern's record to 3-8-5 overall and 1-5-2 in Big Ten action and earned a spot in the Big Ten Tournament.

How it Happened

Michigan St. broke the 0-0 tie when Jonathan Stout scored in the ninth minute, assisted by Louis Sala.

The Wildcats responded quickly to tie things up on a goal from Jayvin Van Deventer -- his first goal of the season -- in the 14th minute, assisted by Logan Weaver.

Northwestern then took a 2-1 lead on Ethan Dudley's 81st-minute penalty kick goal, his third of the season.
