EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern got a pair of goals from Josie Aulicino in a 5-0 shutout victory over SIUE Thursday (Aug. 25) at home at Lanny and Sharon Martin Stadium. The win improved Northwestern's record to 2-1 overall, while SIUE fell to, 1-2.

How it Happened

Northwestern broke the scoreless tie when Ella Hase recorded her first goal of the season in the 16th minute, assisted by Aulicino and Danika Austin.

The Wildcats scored again on a goal from Aulicino -- her second goal of the season -- in the 20th minute, assisted by Aurea Del Carmen.

Northwestern went up 3-0 on Aulicino's 21st-minute goal, her second of the season. Del Carmen logged her second helper of the match.

The Wildcats made it a 4-0 lead with a 52nd-minute goal from Meg Boade, her first goal of the season. Rowan Lapi assisted the goal.

Northwestern added to its lead to make it a 5-0 game on Ingrid Falls' first goal of the season in the 75th minute, assisted by Hayley Newman and Jennifer McGuire. The match closed without another goal scored.
