'Cats Shine in 3,000m at Purdue

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Northwestern traveled a small group to Purdue's Gene Edmonds Memorial Invitational to compete in the 3,000m race.  It was the first competition of the indoor season and the race did not disappoint. Senior Lotte van der Pol set the early pace and the 'Cats worked together to take seven of the top-10 finishing spots.
 
First year Ava Earl took the victory with her first indoor race as a Wildcat in 9:57.64.  Following closely in third, fourth, fifth, and sixth place respectively were Hannah Hall (Sr.), Deepti Choudhury (FY), Amanda Mosborg (Sr.), and Lotte van der Pol (Sr.).  All set personal records.
 
The 'Cats will be back in action on Saturday January 22nd at the Michigan Invitational in Ann Arbor.
