Women's Basketball vs. Michigan State Will Not Be Played

EVANSTON, Ill. – With multiple members of the Northwestern women's basketball program still subject to COVID-19 protocols that canceled the Wildcats' previous two games, the decision has been made to not play the Monday, Jan. 3 contest against Michigan State as scheduled, citing health and safety of student-athletes, staff and fans.

Both programs will actively work with the Big Ten Conference to find a rescheduled date to play the game.

Per the Conference office, if the game is not able to be rescheduled, it would count as a "no contest" for both teams (i.e., neither a win nor a loss would be attributed towards either team in the Conference standings).

Tickets for the Michigan State game will be valid at the rescheduled contest at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
