EVANSTON, Ill. – With multiple members of the Northwestern women's basketball program still subject to COVID-19 protocols that canceled the Wildcats' Dec. 21 nonconference game, the decision has been made to not play the Friday, Dec. 31, contest at Minnesota citing health and safety of student-athletes, staff and fans.
Both programs will actively work with the Big Ten Conference to find a rescheduled date to play the game.
Per the Conference office, information regarding how this game will be treated in relation to the Big Ten Conference 2021-22 Forfeiture Policy will be announced in the coming days.
