'Cats Grab a Pair of Victories at NU Duals

Evanston, Ill. - Northwestern Fencing defeated LIU and Denison as the Wildcats returned to Evanston at the NU Duals over the weekend.

After a strong showing at the Western Invitational, Northwestern took care of business in their first dual of the weekend. The Wildcats swept all three weapons against the Sharks in a 20-7 victory, dropping only a single bout in the foil. That's where Alyssa Chen and Yejine Lee went to work against the Sharks, with three victories each to keep Northwestern rolling. First-year Rowan Park continued to impress in her first year in Evanston with a pair of wins.

Against Denison, the 'Cats put together one of their most dominants performances of the season, defeating the Big Red in a 25-2 victory. Northwestern once again swept the foil and added a perfect 9-0 mark in the epee, with Julia Yoon, Ananya Gupta and Asha Henry delivering a dominant performance to close out the weekend. 

Northwestern is back in action on December 4, as the Wildcats head to Columbus, Ohio for the Elite Invitational.
