Northwestern Falls at Xavier After Late Goal

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Despite a strong performance on the road at a quality Xavier side, Northwestern fell 1-0 to the Muskeeters in Cincinnati on Sunday evening. 

The Wildcats outshot the hosts 10-9 and owned an 8-3 advantage in corner kicks. They moved to 2-2-2 on the season while the Musketeers improved to 5-1.

Goalkeeper Miha Miskovic made four saves on nine shots faces. 

Northwestern is back in action on Friday night with the start of Big Ten play, when it travels to Penn State. Kickoff from Jeffrey Field is set for 6 p.m. CT and will be streamed on Big Ten Network+.
