LARAMIE, Wyo. – Northwestern volleyball heads out west once again for its final non-conference road trip of the regular season.

The Wildcats are slated to open action on Friday, Sept. 10 with a meeting with Missouri at 1 pm CT. Later that night, the 'Cats will face off with the hosts, Wyoming, at 8 pm CT. Northwestern wraps up action on Saturday, Sept. 11 with a meeting with UCSB at Noon CT.

Last weekend, the Wildcats narrowly missed a pair of road wins at the Springhill Suites Invitational, dropping five-set matches to New Mexico State and Arizona in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Against New Mexico State on Friday night, junior Temi Thomas-Ailara posted a double-double with a match-high 21 kills to go along with 13 digs. Thomas-Ailara led the Wildcats in kills during each of their three matchups over the weekend and currently leads the team with 78 kills (3.55 per set) on the early season, good for third-most in the Big Ten, while her 12 total service aces lead all players in the conference entering this weekend.

Wildcat newcomer Leilani Dodson posted double-digit kills for the first time in an NU uniform, going for 10 kills against New Mexico State followed by 13 kills on an efficient .500 clip vs. Arizona. Dodson also added 15 blocks over three games for the 'Cats, including a season high seven total blocks against the Aggies.

At libero, senior Megan Miller averaged 17 digs per game over Northwestern's previous three-game road trip, including a season-high 20 digs in the 'Cats last game vs. Arizona. Miller is averaging 3.50 digs per set through the Wildcats' first five games, and leads the team with 77 total digs on the season.

Alexa Rousseau has also posted impressive numbers at setter to begin her sophomore campaign. Fresh off her first-career collegiate triple-double from the opening weekend, the Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native recorded a season-best 51 assists vs. Arizona and now sits at 194 assists (8.82 per set) on the year while also ranking fourth on the team with 31 total kills.
