EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern overcame a 2-0 first half deficit to defeat Kent State 3-2 in the home opener at Martin Stadium on Sunday.
Midfielder Josie Aulicino continued her standout sophomore season with another brilliant performance, scoring a goal and assisting on the two other. Graduate midfielder Regan Steigleder scored a goal and added an assist. Sophomore Ingrid Falls scored the game winner early in the second half for the first goal of her career.
The Wildcats improved to 2-3 on the season and dropped the Golden Flashes to 3-2.
Northwestern is back in action on Thursday with a trip to Illinois State. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT from Adelaide Street Field.
