Women's Tennis Earns 25th Consecutive Berth to NCAA tournament

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern women's tennis will make its 25th consecutive appearance to the NCAA tournament when it welcomes Xavier, Drake and No. 10 Texas A&M to Evanston on May 7-8. It marks the 31st time in program history that the Wildcats are dancing.

Northwestern will battle Xavier on Friday, May 7, in the opening round, while Texas A&M and Drake square off on the other side of the Evanston pod. The winner of each site advances to the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida, where the 16 teams will compete for the national championship May 16-28. The event will be hosted by the University of Central Florida and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
 
Northwestern has qualified for the national tournament in every season dating back to 1999, when head coach Claire Pollard took over the program. The Wildcats have advanced to at least the Round of 16 on 13 occasions during the current stretch. NU has played in the national quarterfinals three times.
